ANKIT PARASRAMPURIA
About ANKIT:
I’m an economist working on competition topics. As Adam Smith once said about competition economists
“it is not from the benevolence of the butcher, the brewer, or the baker that we expect our dinner, but from their willingness to attempt mergers, which require in-depth analysis of competitive effects based on robust empirical evidence”.
Outside of work, I like to:
– Catch up on the top five journals (the Onion, McSweeney’s, the Reductress, the New Yorker and the Cricket Monthly)
– Talk cricket stats (for example, over 95% of your friends have a strong negative reaction when you bring up Steve Smith’s batting average in the 2019 Ashes (he averaged 110.5 if you’re wondering!))
– Do long runs (typically with respect to time rather than distance)
